Question 1
Multiple choice
Domain 1 / Task 1.1 Generative AI capabilities across Microsoft 365 experiences
Before a Microsoft 365 Copilot pilot starts at a logistics company, the employee works council asks the HR director whether Microsoft staff could read employees' Copilot prompts as part of the abuse monitoring that Azure OpenAI offers. What does Microsoft's Copilot privacy documentation say?
Show answerHide answer
Answer: B
Why
Microsoft's privacy page for Copilot says abuse monitoring, which includes human review of content, is available in Azure OpenAI, but Microsoft Copilot services have opted out of it. The same page says prompts, responses and data accessed through Microsoft Graph aren't used to train foundation LLMs, and that interaction data is encrypted while stored, in line with the organization's other Microsoft 365 content.
Why not the others
APrompts and responses aren't used to train foundation LLMs, and Copilot services don't take part in abuse monitoring with human review.
CThe opt-out covers Copilot services as a whole; harmful content is handled by safeguards such as content harm filters that work alongside the AI models.
DThe EU Data Boundary decides where EU traffic is processed; the opt-out from abuse monitoring is stated for Copilot services with no regional condition.
Domain 1 / Task 1.2 Responsible AI and data protection practices
A travel coordinator pastes a traveler's itinerary, including the passport number, into a Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat prompt and asks for the destination country's current entry requirements. Copilot answers only from the company's internal travel-policy files and shows no web sources. Minutes earlier, a prompt in the same chat with no personal details returned web sources. What is the most likely explanation?
Show answerHide answer
Answer: C
Why
Microsoft Purview DLP policies for Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Chat can block external web search as a grounding source when a prompt contains sensitive information types, such as passport numbers. Copilot then answers from permitted internal Microsoft 365 data, and the matching prompt text is not sent to external search providers for that request.
Why not the others
ACopilot doesn't send the whole prompt to Bing; it generates a search query from terms in the prompt, and here the policy kept the prompt's sensitive text away from external search.
BCopilot looks for terms in the prompt where web search would improve the response; it does not use the web only as a fallback for internal files.
DThe same user got web sources in this chat minutes earlier, so web search is not turned off for licensed users.
A sales enablement lead generated an audio overview of her product-launch Copilot Notebook last week. Since then she has added three reference files to the notebook: the final price list, a customer FAQ and a competitor brief. She wants the audio overview to cover the new files. What should she do?
Show answerHide answer
Answer: D
Why
Microsoft's steps for a notebook that has gained reference files are to delete the existing audio overview and then select Generate audio again. A notebook needs at least one reference file, such as a Word document or a OneNote page, before an audio overview can be generated.
Why not the others
AThe same notebook can produce a new overview once the old one is deleted, so a second notebook is not needed.
BTo cover added reference files, Microsoft says to delete the overview and generate it again, so it does not update itself.
CSaving to OneDrive keeps a copy of the existing audio; it does not add the new files' content to the overview.
Domain 3 / Task 3.2 Manage meetings and collaboration
A project manager with a Microsoft 365 Copilot license starts the Facilitator agent in a weekly Teams meeting with her organization's warehouse team. Two warehouse supervisors in the meeting don't have a Microsoft 365 Copilot license. Which two statements are true for the supervisors? Choose two.
Show answerHide answer
Answers: B and E
Why
Microsoft lists these Facilitator limitations: only licensed users can initiate it, and unlicensed users can't prompt it but can see others' prompts to Facilitator, its responses and its notes in meetings. Facilitator shows its responses in the meeting conversation for everyone, unlike Copilot in Teams, whose responses are private to the user who asked.
Why not the others
AMentioning @Facilitator is a prompt, and unlicensed users can't prompt Facilitator; a licensed attendee would have to add the topic.
CThey can't prompt Facilitator, and its responses appear in the meeting conversation for everyone; private answers come from a licensed user's own Copilot in Teams.
DFacilitator isn't currently supported in 1:1 chats, group chats, or external chats and meetings.
Domain 4 / Task 4.2 Perform business tasks with Microsoft Copilot Cowork
A marketing lead keeps the product launch plan as a Word document on her team's SharePoint site, where five colleagues edit it through a shared link. In a Microsoft Copilot Cowork session she attaches the document and asks Cowork to add a risks section and correct the dates in the timeline table. Her colleagues must keep working in the same document. What happens?
Show answerHide answer
Answer: B
Why
Cowork can edit an existing Word, Excel or PowerPoint file stored in OneDrive or SharePoint and saves the changes to the same shared file. When it asks for edit access she can approve once, for the current task, or always allow edits for the rest of the conversation, and the file's version history stays available if she needs an earlier version.
Why not the others
ABesides creating documents, Cowork edits existing Word, Excel and PowerPoint files in OneDrive and SharePoint.
CFiles that Cowork creates are kept in the Cowork folder in OneDrive, but edits to an existing file are saved to that same shared file.
DCowork asks for edit access first; she chooses Approve once for the current task or Always allow for the current conversation.
