Question 1
Multiple choice
Domain 1 / Task 1.3 Manage users
A travel company hires 25 representatives for weekend chat coverage. The administrator creates a custom security role named Weekend Chat Rep, maps it to the Agent persona in Role persona mapping, and assigns it directly to each new representative. The representatives also hold the Basic User role and can sign in to Dynamics 365, but the Copilot Service workspace app does not appear on their Apps page. What should the administrator do?
Show answerHide answer
Answer: A
Why
Microsoft's page on personas and custom security roles states that users whose roles are mapped to personas do not get automatic access to the associated applications or dashboards. Access to an application is granted separately: on the Apps page, select the ellipsis on the application tile, choose Manage roles, select the custom role and save. The mapping and the direct assignment are already done, so adding the role to the app is the remaining step.
Why not the others
BUpdate user attributes applies skills, queues, capacity profiles and the conversation limit to the selected users; it does not add a role to an application.
CEnable security roles on a form controls which roles can open that form or dashboard; it does not make an application appear on the Apps page.
DPersona mapping defines permissions for unified routing, and users whose roles are mapped to any persona still do not get automatic access to applications.
Domain 2 / Task 2.2 Provision and manage the voice channel
An insurer's inbound voice workstream must produce a transcript of every call from the moment the call connects, with no action by the representative. Legal has not approved storing call audio, so no recording may be kept. Representatives must be able to pause the transcript while a caller reads a card number. On the Behaviors tab of the workstream's Voice settings, which configuration do you choose?
Show answerHide answer
Answer: B
Why
The Transcript and recording dropdown offers Transcription or Transcription and recording, so Transcription alone keeps a transcript without storing audio. Start setting Automatic records and transcribes calls when they begin, while Manual leaves it to representatives. The pause and resume toggle lets representatives control which parts of a conversation are transcribed.
Why not the others
AAutomatic pause covers only the time a caller is on hold; with the representative toggle set to No, nobody can pause while the card number is read.
CTranscription and recording stores the call audio that legal has not approved.
DWith Start setting Manual the representative has to start the transcript, and the button appears as Resume recording and transcript by default.
A contact center's first-line representatives transfer complicated chats to specialists. The specialists say they lose time reading the whole transcript, and the center does not want them to click anything to catch up. Which option on the Summaries page in Copilot Service admin center meets the requirement?
Show answerHide answer
Answer: C
Why
Microsoft's summaries page says the When a representative joins a conversation option generates a summary when a representative joins, and also when the primary representative invites a collaborator or transfers the conversation, so the specialist receives the summary without asking for it.
Why not the others
AA summary generated when the conversation ends arrives after the specialist has already handled it.
BThat setting adds a Create case button to the end-of-conversation summary; it does not generate a summary at transfer.
DOn demand generates a summary only when a representative selects Summarize conversation in the conversation panel, which is the click the center wants to avoid.
Domain 4 / Task 4.2 Configure basic and unified routing
A wealth-management firm wants live chats from its private clients to reach each client's named relationship manager. When that manager is not signed in or is in a presence the workstream does not allow, the chat must still be answered promptly by another representative in the queue rather than wait. The chat workstream uses push distribution. What do you configure in Copilot Service admin center?
Show answerHide answer
Answer: D
Why
Preferred representative routing maps a contact to up to three representatives and tries them first, skipping the checks for capacity, skills and assignment rules but requiring a presence the workstream allows. For live chat and voice Microsoft says to use the Next best representative based on assignment logic fallback, which routes by the assignment rules when no preferred representative is available. The feature works only with push-based workstreams, and the managers must be members of the queue.
Why not the others
AThat fallback leaves the chat in the queue until someone picks it up or assigns it manually; Microsoft suggests it for asynchronous channels, not live chat.
BSkills describe what a representative can do; they do not tie a specific contact to a named representative, and the preferred routing feature does.
CAn assignment method chooses among the queue's eligible representatives by its own rule; it does not map a contact to a representative.
Domain 5 / Task 5.3 Create and administer knowledge management
A support team's knowledge search opens with a Product filter preselected to a product line the team no longer handles. On the Filters page under Knowledge in Copilot Service admin center, the administrator changes the preselected values and saves. Most representatives now see the new values, but several still see the old ones. What explains the difference?
Show answerHide answer
Answer: A
Why
Microsoft's filters page states that if a representative sets default values, those values persist and cannot be overwritten by changes made by an administrator. The Allow customer service representative to personalize toggle on the same page is what lets representatives set their own defaults in the first place.
Why not the others
BFilter configurations apply wherever knowledge search is configured, including the productivity pane control and the application tab search in Copilot Service workspace.
CSetting Enable search filters to No turns filters off; the page describes no toggle cycle for applying new preselected values.
DThe Dataverse Search dependency concerns the Archived, Discarded and Expired values of the Status filter, not preselected values in general.
