Question 1

Multiple choice

Domain 1 / Task 1.3 Configure topics

A retailer embeds a Copilot Studio agent in a simple web page on its customer portal. The portal already knows the signed-in customer's loyalty tier, and the agent must use that tier from its first message without asking for it. The maker creates a variable named LoyaltyTier in a dedicated topic that holds a Set variable value node. Which configuration lets the portal supply the value?

Show answerHide answer

Answer: D

Why

Context supplied by a host page goes into a global variable whose Usage is set to Global (any topic can access) and External sources can set values. On a simple web page the portal appends the value to the agent's URL as a query string parameter named without the Global. prefix; a custom canvas sends it in a pvaSetContext event instead. Microsoft's page also recommends a dedicated topic holding a Set variable value node with Get value from this node if empty, an optional timeout and a default value for when the portal does not respond in time.

Why not the others

  • ABy default a variable can be used only in the topic where it is created, and leaving the dedicated topic without trigger phrases does not change that; the documented method for host-supplied context is a global variable with External sources can set values.
  • BEnvironment variables hold configuration that administrators set in Power Apps and are read-only in Copilot Studio; they are not per-conversation values that change for each customer.
  • CThe query string parameter name must match the global variable name without the Global. prefix, so a parameter named Global.LoyaltyTier does not match the variable.

Question 2

Multiple choice

Domain 1 / Task 1.3 Configure topics

A shipping company's agent has a topic that calls a parcel-tracking REST API with a Send HTTP request node. The API returns JSON such as {"parcel": "PX-4471", "status": {"stage": "Out for delivery", "depot": "Bristol"}}. A Message node later in the topic must show the stage and the depot by referencing Topic.Tracking.status.stage and Topic.Tracking.status.depot, with intellisense in the Power Fx editor, and the maker does not want to add a separate node to parse the response. What should the maker configure on the Send HTTP request node?

Show answerHide answer

Answer: A

Why

The node's Response data type can come from an example JSON response: select From Sample Data, select Get schema from sample JSON, paste the sample and select Confirm. The node then generates a Power Fx variable that can be used elsewhere on the authoring canvas with intellisense in the Power Fx editor, and Save user response as names the variable that stores the response.

Why not the others

  • BBody (No Content, JSON Content or Raw content) sets what the request sends, which is typical for POST or PUT calls; it does not describe the response.
  • CHeaders travel with the request, for example an authorization token or a content type; the stored response gets its type from the Response data type chosen on the node.
  • DA Parse value node converts a value that already exists, such as the Any-typed error response, into a record; placed before the call it has no response to convert, and a response typed from sample data needs no parsing node.

Question 3

Multiple choice

Domain 2 / Task 2.3 Configure multi-agent collaboration

A freight company's route-planning agent runs outside Microsoft, implements the Agent2Agent (A2A) protocol and is reachable over HTTPS. Its gateway accepts a request only when a static key arrives in a request header named X-Route-Key, and it rejects any request that carries the key in the URL. A maker is adding this agent to a Copilot Studio dispatch agent: on the Agents page they select Add agent, then A2A agent, and enter the agent's endpoint. How should the maker set up authentication for the connection?

Show answerHide answer

Answer: B

Why

The Authentication list for an A2A agent offers None, API key and OAuth 2.0. API key asks for the name of the header, or of the query parameter, where the key is sent, so naming the header X-Route-Key puts the key where the gateway expects it. Any type other than None also needs its remaining authentication details completed before the maker saves.

Why not the others

  • ANone is for an agent that requires no authentication; no key reaches the gateway, so it rejects the requests.
  • CA query parameter carries the key in the request URL, which this gateway rejects.
  • DOAuth 2.0 asks for a client ID, client secret, authorization URL, token URL and refresh URL from an OAuth provider; the gateway checks a static key in a header, not an OAuth token.

Question 4

Multiple response

Domain 2 / Task 2.2 Add tools to agents

An autonomous procurement agent receives approved purchase orders by email. For each order, its computer use tool must open a supplier's web ordering portal, enter that order's PO number and quantities on the order form, and submit it. In testing, the tool sometimes opens the wrong website, stops at the filled-in form to ask whether it should submit, and always types the sample PO number that the maker wrote into its instructions. Which two changes address these problems? Choose two.

Show answerHide answer

Answers: B and C

Why

Inputs define values that change each time computer use runs; at execution time computer use combines the instructions with the input values, so each order's PO number and quantities replace the sample value. Microsoft's guidance for instructions is to give the full URL of every website the tool should use and to state actions such as submitting a form explicitly, for example: once you fill in the form, select Submit, no need to ask for permission.

Why not the others

  • AEnforce HTTPS keeps computer use to websites whose URL starts with https://; it does not choose the right site or change the PO number.
  • DThe Description tells the agent what the tool does and when to use it; it does not supply run values or steps.
  • EStored credentials hold the username and password that computer use enters when a sign-in prompt appears on that site; they are not order data.

Question 5

Multiple choice

Domain 3 / Task 3.2 Implement ALM for agents in Copilot Studio

A bank moves agent solutions from its development environment through a Power Platform pipeline with two stages, UAT and then Production. The change board requires a final gate on every deployment to Production: just before the solution is deployed there, a cloud flow in the pipelines host looks up the change record in the bank's ticketing system and then either lets the deployment continue or stops it with a reason that the requesting maker can read in the pipeline's run history. Which configuration meets the requirement?

Show answerHide answer

Answer: D

Why

Pre-deployment step required inserts a custom step into the deployment to that stage, after the deployment is approved and before the solution is deployed. The step stays pending until the flow, started by OnPreDeploymentStarted, runs Perform an unbound action with UpdatePreDeploymentStepStatus: 20 completes the step, and 30 rejects it so the deployment does not proceed and its status is set to failed. Predeployment comments added on rejection are visible to the maker in the pipelines run history, which covers the readable reason.

Why not the others

  • APre-export step required runs when a deployment request is submitted and holds the export from the development environment; Microsoft says to enable it only for the first stage of a pipeline, and Production is the second stage here.
  • BA gated step is part of the deployment to the stage where it is enabled; on UAT it holds the UAT deployment, so the later deployment to Production is not held and the lookup does not run just before the solution is deployed there.
  • COnDeploymentCompleted fires when the deployment step has finished, so the solution is already in Production when the flow runs, and with the gated extensions off no step waits for the flow; there is nothing left to hold.
