Question 1
Multiple choice
Domain 1 / Task 1.2 Build data models
A sales organization has one business unit per region, and every sales manager sits in the same business unit as the people who report to them. The Manager field on each user record is maintained. Sales managers must be able to read and update the opportunities owned by their direct reports and read, but not edit, the opportunities owned by the people who report to those direct reports. The admin will not add business units or share records one by one. The managers' security role grants User-level Read and Write on Opportunity. What should you configure?
Show answerHide answer
Answer: C
Why
The Manager hierarchy is built from the Manager field on the user record. A manager gets Read, Write, Append and Append To on the records of direct reports and read-only access to the records of people further down the chain; Depth limits how many levels that read-only access reaches, so Depth 2 covers reports and their reports. Hierarchy security is an extension of business units and security roles, not a replacement, and the manager needs at least User-level Read on the table, which the role already grants.
Why not the others
AThe Position hierarchy is not based on the Manager field: the admin defines positions and tags users with them, and one position per business unit would put managers and their reports at the same level, so nobody gains access.
BSharing works record by record and must be repeated for every new opportunity at both levels, which the admin ruled out.
DParent: Child Business Unit access applies to every opportunity in the business unit and the units below it, not only to the manager's reports, and it grants Write on all of them.
A warehouse canvas app was created with the tablet layout. On phones the whole screen shrinks to fit, and in a wide browser window it scales up without showing any more content. The maker wants each screen to use the actual width and height of the device so that controls can be sized with formulas such as Parent.Width and arranged in auto-layout containers. Which setting must be changed first?
Show answerHide answer
Answer: D
Why
Scale to fit is on by default, and while it is on the entire layout scales to whatever screen the app runs on and cannot use the extra pixels. Turning it off is the first step toward a responsive layout and also turns off Lock aspect ratio. A screen's default Width is Max(App.Width, App.MinScreenWidth) and its Height is Max(App.Height, App.MinScreenHeight), so after the change the screen follows the device or browser window and formulas and auto-layout containers can use the space.
Why not the others
AOrientation only changes the shape of the design canvas; the app still scales to fit whatever screen it runs on.
BSizeBreakpoints only decide which ScreenSize value a screen reports; they do not stop the app from scaling to fit.
CFixed pixel sizes adapt to nothing; the default formulas already size the screen to the device once Scale to fit is off.
Twelve canvas apps each contain their own copy of a footer component that shows the company's legal notice. Whenever compliance revises the notice, a maker has to open and edit all twelve apps by hand. The company wants a single definition of the footer, wants app makers to be alerted when a new version is available, and does not want makers to be able to edit the footer inside the apps that use it. What should you do?
Show answerHide answer
Answer: A
Why
A component library holds one definition that many apps consume. An app that imports a library component keeps a dependency on it, and its maker is alerted when a published update is available, so the library has to be published. Allow customization is on by default and gives consuming apps an Edit component option that makes a local copy; with it off, that option is not shown and the only way to change the footer is to edit the library.
Why not the others
BImporting components from one app into another is a retired feature that is off by default; an imported copy can be edited and has to be imported again by hand to get changes, so there are no update alerts and nothing stops makers from editing it.
CCode components are not supported inside component libraries, so the footer cannot be added to one, whatever the Allow customization setting.
DAllow customization is on by default, so a maker can still choose Edit component in a consuming app and change a local copy of the footer, and that copy stops receiving library updates.
A vendor onboarding flow starts when a Vendor Request row is created in Dataverse. It must send an approval to the procurement lead and then, before it pauses, write the approval's ID back to the Vendor Request row and post a message to a Teams channel saying the request is awaiting approval. It must then pause until the procurement lead responds and branch on the outcome. Which two actions should the flow use? Choose two.
Show answerHide answer
Answers: A and E
Why
Create an approval starts the approval but does not wait for it to complete, so the next actions can store the approval ID and post to Teams. Wait for an approval takes that ID and pauses the run until the approval completes, and a condition can then test the outcome. Start and wait for an approval does both steps in one action, which leaves no room for work in between.
Why not the others
BStart and wait for an approval pauses the run as soon as the approval is created, so nothing can be written to Dataverse or posted to Teams until after the procurement lead responds.
CSend email with options is an Outlook action that waits for the recipient to pick an option; it is not an approval, so it has no approval ID and no entry in the approvals center.
DPost adaptive card and wait for a response pauses the flow until any user answers the card; it is a Teams message, not an approval, and it waits immediately.
Domain 3 / Task 3.2 Create prompts and models in AI Hub
Field technicians use a canvas app to register machines. They photograph the nameplate on each machine, and the app must show the lines of text found in the photo so the technician can tap the serial number and save it to a Dataverse column. There is no time to train a model. Which AI Builder component should you add to the screen?
Show answerHide answer
Answer: C
Why
The text recognizer component takes a photo or loads an image, runs the prebuilt text recognition model, draws a rectangle around each detected line and lists the lines in its Results property. Selected holds the line the user tapped, so Selected.Text is the value to save with Patch.
Why not the others
AThe form processor needs a custom document processing model that you build and train on sample documents, which the scenario rules out.
BThe object detector locates and counts objects with a custom-trained model; it does not read text.
DThe business card reader is prebuilt, but it extracts contact fields such as name, email and phone from a photographed business card rather than returning text lines to choose from.
