Questions before you buy

Is this official?

No, the GH-300 bundle is not official. Overqual is independent and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by GitHub or Microsoft.

Does it include real exam questions?

No, the GH-300 bundle contains no exam questions, and every practice question is original.

How is the GH-300 bundle different from GitHub's free materials?

GitHub's free pages set out what the GH-300 exam covers. The GH-300 bundle adds a 58-page study guide that covers every exam domain, and two practice exams with 120 original questions, every answer explained. When GitHub revises the exam, a new edition follows if the changes warrant it, included while your access lasts. Take GitHub's GH-300 practice assessment as well; none of the bundle's questions come from it.

How do I get updates?

Updates to the GH-300 bundle arrive as new editions. Every bundle includes 6 months of access: download the PDFs, and any new editions, until 6 months after your purchase date. Download each new edition at overqual.com/download with the license key from your receipt email. The change log on the exam facts page says what changed.

Can I get a refund?

No. Sales of the GH-300 bundle are final, because downloaded PDFs cannot be returned. Read the free exam facts and try the 5 free sample questions first. If a download fails or you paid twice by mistake, contact Overqual to have the download fixed or the second payment refunded.

Is GH-300 a GitHub exam or a Microsoft exam?

GH-300 is the exam for GitHub's own GitHub Copilot certification, and since Jul 1, 2025 it has been scheduled through Microsoft Learn and delivered by Pearson VUE at a test center or online with a proctor (GitHub community announcement, GitHub Docs). The schedule button on the Microsoft Learn certification page goes to Pearson VUE, the certification is valid for 2 years, and GitHub is moving its renewals to Microsoft's recertification process.

Does GH-300 have hands-on labs, and can you use documentation during it?

GH-300 is proctored and, in Microsoft's words, "You may have interactive components to complete as part of this exam" (certification page). Microsoft does not identify question types before an exam, and the Microsoft Learn access that associate and expert exams allow is not available on GitHub exams, so plan to answer without documentation (exam duration and experience). The certification page links a practice assessment and an exam sandbox; Microsoft's practice assessments are free with a Microsoft Learn sign-in (certification FAQ).

What changed in the GH-300 outline on Aug 7, 2026?

GH-300's skills outline is dated Aug 7, 2026, and the change log on Microsoft Learn's GH-300 study guide marks three skill groups Minor (Use GitHub Copilot in the IDE; Use GitHub Copilot features and capabilities; Apply safeguards and troubleshoot) and every other row No change (GH-300 study guide on Microsoft Learn). The current outline also has a five-bullet Use GitHub Copilot CLI group that the log does not list, and the log does not say which bullets changed. Localized versions of the exam are updated about eight weeks after the English version.
