Questions before you buy

Is this official?

No, the AIP-C01 bundle is not official. Overqual is independent and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by AWS.

Does it include real exam questions?

No, the AIP-C01 bundle contains no exam questions, and every practice question is original.

How is the AIP-C01 bundle different from AWS's free materials?

AWS's free pages set out what the AIP-C01 exam covers. The AIP-C01 bundle adds a 67-page study guide that covers every exam domain, and two practice exams with 150 original questions, every answer explained. When AWS revises the exam, a new edition follows if the changes warrant it, included while your access lasts.

How do I get updates?

Updates to the AIP-C01 bundle arrive as new editions. Every bundle includes 6 months of access: download the PDFs, and any new editions, until 6 months after your purchase date. Download each new edition at overqual.com/download with the license key from your receipt email. The change log on the exam facts page says what changed.

Can I get a refund?

No. Sales of the AIP-C01 bundle are final, because downloaded PDFs cannot be returned. Read the free exam facts and try the 5 free sample questions first. If a download fails or you paid twice by mistake, contact Overqual to have the download fixed or the second payment refunded.

Does AIP-C01 replace the AWS Certified Machine Learning - Specialty exam?

No. AWS retired AWS Certified Machine Learning - Specialty with a last exam date of Mar 31, 2026, and lists the AWS Certified Generative AI Developer - Professional among the certifications its holders can move to (AWS Training and Certification blog, October 2025). The two exams test different work: the AIP-C01 exam guide puts model development and training out of scope and tests integrating foundation models into applications.

Does the AIP-C01 exam include hands-on labs?

The AIP-C01 exam guide lists two question types, multiple choice and multiple response, and no lab items (exam guide). The exam has 75 questions: 65 scored and 10 unscored, and the unscored questions are not identified. The skill statements name specific service features, so hands-on practice with those features still helps.

Can I still take the AIP-C01 beta exam?

No. The last day to take the AIP-C01 beta was Mar 31, 2026 (AWS Training and Certification blog, March 2026). The standard exam is open for registration: 75 questions in 180 minutes for $300 (certification page), refreshed to reflect service changes including Amazon Bedrock AgentCore.

Ready for AIP-C01?

Three PDFs, 133 pages: the study guide and two practice exams.

Which AWS services are in scope?

Amazon Bedrock and its managed features are at the center of the AIP-C01 outline. Around it, the skill statements name the compute, integration, data, security and operations services a production application uses. The in-scope list in the AWS exam guide is marked non-exhaustive and subject to change.

Source: AWS in-scope services page

Amazon Bedrock

  • Amazon Bedrock (streaming APIs, cross-Region inference, prompt caching, batch inference, Provisioned Throughput)
  • Amazon Bedrock Knowledge Bases
  • Amazon Bedrock Guardrails
  • Amazon Bedrock Prompt Management
  • Amazon Bedrock Prompt Flows
  • Amazon Bedrock Model Evaluations
  • Amazon Bedrock Data Automation
  • Amazon Titan embeddings

Guardrails, Data Automation and Model Evaluations are named in the skill statements; the in-scope list names Amazon Bedrock, Knowledge Bases, Prompt Management, Prompt Flows and AgentCore as entries.

Agents, orchestration and integration

  • Amazon Bedrock AgentCore
  • Strands Agents
  • AWS Agent Squad
  • Model Context Protocol (MCP)
  • AWS Step Functions
  • AWS Lambda
  • Amazon API Gateway
  • Amazon EventBridge
  • Amazon SQS
  • AWS AppConfig

Strands Agents, AWS Agent Squad and MCP appear in the skill statements, not in the in-scope service list.

Data, retrieval and ML

  • Amazon OpenSearch Service
  • Amazon Aurora (pgvector)
  • Amazon S3
  • Amazon DynamoDB
  • Amazon SageMaker AI (Model Registry, JumpStart, Processing, Data Wrangler, Clarify)
  • AWS Glue (Data Quality, Data Catalog)
  • Amazon Comprehend
  • Amazon Textract
  • Amazon Transcribe

Security, governance and operations

  • IAM
  • AWS KMS
  • Amazon VPC and AWS PrivateLink
  • Amazon Macie
  • AWS CloudTrail
  • Amazon CloudWatch and CloudWatch Logs
  • AWS X-Ray
  • AWS Cost Explorer
  • AWS Cost Anomaly Detection
  • AWS Well-Architected Tool

AWS Budgets, AWS Cost and Usage Report and AWS Savings Plans are on the out-of-scope list; AWS Direct Connect, AWS Transit Gateway and AWS VPN are too.
